Trainer tip of the day: it can be challenging to decipher between pain and some of the usual aches and sore muscles when starting an exercise program. The “no pain, no gain” is not the way to go. Discomfort is usually dull and achy in nature, goes away when your body gets acclimated to an activity and isn’t debilitating. Pain is usually sharp in nature, gets worse with more activity and can easily take you out of the game if you don’t rest and let yourself heal.
