Trainer tip of the day: don’t train your body like it’s a set of loosely connected muscles. Isolation exercises are great, but compound exercises like squats, push-ups and planks offer more bang-for-your-buck. Not only should they form the foundation of your exercise program, but you should do them consistently for maximum strength and performance benefits.
